A fifth-generation Quincy native, William H. McKeown explores local and coastal imagery in his shimmering and luminescent watercolors. Clay Lovel explores the connection between nature and humanity within the North Florida coastal environment through the medium of pen and ink. French sculptor Eric Baret considers researching the subjects of his bronze sculptures an artistic challenge; Baret’s work often represents soldiers of war or Catholic saints, touching on themes of heroism, spirituality, sacrifice, and mysticism. Celebrate 42 years of Springtime Tallahassee Festival March 26-27, 2010 as we “Leap Into Springtime”. Friday night will kick of the fesitval weekend with the Capital City Bank Downtown GetDown from 6:00-10:00pm in Adams Street Commons. Then on Saturday, March 27th will be Annual Springtime Tallahassee Jubilee in the Park and Grand Parade. The Grand parade will consist of over 100 fun and inviting entries that you do not want to miss, including Krewe floats, marching bands, and some of the best parade units in the Southeast. Following the Grand Parade will be our Jubilee in the Park filled arts and craft vendors, food, local and national entertainment, children’s park, seafood festival, beer garden, and more for all ages. Please plan to mark your calendars to join us again as we “Leap Into Springtime”.
